No Press Credentials

Yeah, so Casey Sherman (Communications Coordinator for the Libs) got back to me. Yeah, only the licensed press are allowed credentials, which is what I expected, but hey! I tried. Casey was very nice about it, and maybe that policy will change in the future. It's not like I'm not going to the game. I'll still cover it, and maybe I can snag a two-question interview with a player going down the hall.

ME: "Yo! Martina! Will you marry me?"
MARTINA: "(Unintelligable German)"
ME: "Can I quote you on that?"
MARTINA: "Ja!"

Word. Essay below.

Yeah, it also doesn't help that the Liberty are the tightest of tight-asses in the league when it comes to credentialing anybody.

His (her?) explanation was that MSG's policy was that no blogger would get credentials. I can understand that, but really; is some blogger for the Rangers going to try to get a press pass for that team because I got a press pass to the Liberty? I doubt it. Oh well. Maybe next year...

Really a very nice post! It’s something I have never thought about, really, but it makes a whole lot of sense. Thanks for sharing the valuable information regarding media credentials.
