Why bother wasting a draft pick on a young woman (one of the highest scorers in Maryland's history) when you only play her for 35 minutes in a season and then let her go at the end of the season, despite decent numbers in that time span... well, the Libs are just asking for fan anger.

Look, we played essentially seven women during the season (Thorn, Kraayeveld, Moore, Christon, McCarville, Battle, and towards the end, Jackson) with Farris and Willis getting much of the rest of the time. It's a piss-poor way to run an ball team, particularly when a team is down by twenty points in the 4th and in a rebuilding cycle. If we aren't going to use Doron, I'd be more than happy to see her go so that she can get playing time elsewhere. Ditto for the rest of the benchies. Why bother having them if we're never going to play them, even when our usual gang can't get it done?

All right, I'm done rambling. Personally, aside from one or two moves, I wouldn't mind seeing this team get back together next season. But who knows who we'll pick up in a trade or in the draft. The Writerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04727756184924532355noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-129392383064122848.post-63333155293292658712007-09-25T12:34:00.000-07:002007-09-25T12:34:00.000-07:00I hate to sound an ominous note, but Shay's shirts...I hate to sound an ominous note, but Shay's shirts were on sale at the Garden at the end of the season. When they did that with Whitmore and Weatherspoon, they both left.
I hope this doesn't mean Shay will leave the Liberty. But when they posted a comment of mine to the team site today, they left out something aI write about wanting to see more of Shay.

Oy vay!
PatPatricia S.
